Senior & Legacy Dog Portrait Session
Family Portraits With Dogs in Albuquerque
Your dog belongs in the family portrait. At The Dog Studio NM, we create portraits of the people and pets who share your life, with gentle direction for you and patience for your dog. Bring your partner, your children or simply your best friend on four paws. We’ll help you create a portrait that feels like your family, whether that means a quiet moment together or an expression that makes everyone laugh.

to talk through your ideas.

Studio Portraits With the People Your Dog Loves
A family portrait can include everyone together, your dog with the children, or the familiar connection between you and your pet. Tell us who is coming and which relationships you most want to remember. We’ll help plan the groupings around your family.
Our studio lighting and backdrops keep the attention on faces, expressions and the small gestures that make a portrait personal. Picture your child leaning close to the dog they are growing up with, or your dog settling beside the person they follow everywhere.
Dog and Owner Portraits for One Person or a Couple
You and your dog are a family, too. A dog and owner photoshoot gives you a chance to be in the portrait together. Come on your own or with your partner, and let us help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
We can plan for portraits of you together as well as individual photographs of your dog. Bring an idea you love, or let us guide you toward a look that suits you.

A Session With Room for Your Dog to Settle In
Sessions are approximately one hour. Your dog does not need to perform for the camera. We allow time to settle in and adjust our approach as needed. Tell us about anxiety, reactivity or health limitations before booking so we can discuss a suitable setup.
From Your Session to Artwork for Your Home
After the photoshoot, you’ll have a separate Viewing & Ordering Appointment to choose your portraits and explore artwork and digital options. Ask for current session and artwork pricing before booking; inclusions depend on the experience or offer you reserve.
Think about where you would most enjoy seeing your portrait. It might be the wall you pass on your way out each morning or the space above the sofa where your dog claims the best seat. Bring your ideas, and we can help you choose a portrait and presentation for that space.
A portrait of the whole family can become the starting point for your artwork. You might also fall in love with a close-up of your dog, a photograph of the children together, or a smaller grouping that deserves its own place in your home.
Getting Ready for Your Portrait
Bring a secure leash, a favorite toy and suitable treats. Tell us about allergies. For clothing, simple colors keep attention on your faces and your dog. Choose outfits you feel comfortable wearing together.
Before your visit, consider the photograph you most want to come home with. Is it everyone looking toward the camera, your dog curled beside you, or your children sharing a moment with their favorite companion? Let us know what matters to you.
